One shop, two kinds of work
Auto & Industrial Painting Enterprises works out of a workshop on Kelvin Rd in Wattle Grove. Plant and fleet gear comes through the same booth as show cars, and both get held to the same standard.
Why both halves
Most shops pick a side. Panel shops do cars and industrial coaters do machinery, and neither is especially interested in the other.
Doing both means the standards cross over in a way that helps. The prep discipline that industrial work demands, where a coating either lasts on site or it does not, is the same discipline that makes a show finish hold up. And the finish standard a custom car needs is a higher bar than most machinery has ever been held to.
The workshop
A spray booth, a blast bay, and prep space, on one site in the Wattle Grove industrial area. Work comes in, gets stripped, prepped, painted and finished without being carted between three different places.
It is set up for full size plant, so a dozer or a large excavator goes through whole rather than being pulled down into components first. The same booth does show cars.
