Automotive painting
Full and part resprays, colour matching and custom finishes. The paint is the last thing that happens to a car and the first thing anyone judges, so most of the work happens before a drop of colour goes near it.
The finish is made under the paint
A shiny panel with a wave in it is still a panel with a wave in it. Colour and clear show every high and low they are laid over, and gloss makes them worse, not better.
So the time goes into the metal and the filler work first. Panels are straightened, primed and blocked flat, then blocked again, and only checked off when the reflection running down the side of the car is straight.
Colour matching
Factory codes get you close. They do not account for a car that has been in the Perth sun for twenty years, or a panel that was resprayed once before by somebody else.
Colour is matched to the car in front of us rather than to the code on the compliance plate, and blended into the adjacent panels where a hard edge would show.
Custom work
Custom mixes, two-tones and stripe work for builds where the colour is part of the point. If you have a reference photo or a chip, bring it in and we will talk through what it will take to get there.
