Sandblasting and surface prep
Stripping back to clean metal, for plant that needs recoating and for vehicle work where paint has to come off without wrecking what is under it.
Why blast at all
Coating over old paint means the new coating is only as good as whatever it is sitting on. If that layer lets go, everything above it goes with it.
Blasting removes that variable. You get clean metal with a profile on it that primer can actually key into, which is most of what makes a coating last.
Straight into primer
Bare steel starts flashing over quickly, and in the wrong weather it does not take long at all. Blasted work goes into primer promptly rather than sitting around waiting for the next slot.
Sized for full machines
Dozers, large excavators, loaders and truck bodies go through whole, rather than having to be pulled down to components first. Structural steel, frames and smaller parts go through the same way.
Send dimensions with your enquiry and we will confirm the fit before you organise transport. Moving a machine twice because it did not fit is the expensive kind of surprise.
What blasting will and will not fix
Blasting takes off coatings, corrosion and mill scale, and it leaves a surface profile behind. What it does not do is repair metal. If a panel is holed or a section has wasted away, blasting is what finally shows you how much, which is usually more than it looked like under the old paint.
That is worth knowing before the job starts rather than halfway through it, so anything found gets raised with you before more work goes into it.
What needs blasting
Photos and rough dimensions are enough to get a number back. Or call the workshop and talk it through.
