Panel and rust repairs
Rust cut out and replaced with metal, dents and damage rectified, then painted and blended so the repair does not announce itself.
Rust does not get filled over
Filler over rust buys about a year. The rust is still there, still moving, and it comes back through the paint bubbled and worse than it started.
Rust gets cut back to clean metal and new steel is let in. It costs more up front than a skim of filler and it is the only version worth paying for.
Common spots on a Perth car
Wheel arches, sills, the bottoms of doors, around windscreens and rear windows, and floor pans on anything that has sat outside. Coastal cars are worse.
If you have caught a bubble early, that is the cheap version of this job. Leaving it another two summers is the expensive version.
Painted back in, not patched over
Once the metal is right the repair is primed, colour matched to the car as it is now, and blended into the surrounding panels. A repair that is a slightly different shade to the panel next to it is a repair everyone can see.
